Women in Music Canada (WIMC), in association with the Women in Music® Org (WIM®), is excited to announce that the 2026 Women in Music Global Summit will take place March 2-4 in Toronto during International Women’s Week. The Allied Music Centre and TD Music Hall in downtown Toronto will host the in-person Global Summit. There will be an opportunity for those unable to attend in person to tune in via the event management platform, Zuddl. The fourth annual Women in Music Canada Honours Event will cap off the energizing week, taking place at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre on March 5. The Women in Music Canada Honours are designed to celebrate and support Canadian women and gender diverse, innovators, and creators across diverse genres who have achieved exceptional success in their field during the year of eligibility. Submissions for Honours nominations are open now, with a closing deadline of November 28.

"We are so excited to combine our annual Women in Music Summit with the WIM Canada Summit for the first time. Together we will offer education, empowerment and career advancement opportunities both in-person in Toronto, and virtually to members and attendees from around the world,” comments Nicole Barsalona, Global President Women in Music®. “The 2026 WIM Summit evokes the essence of what WIM is - a community of powerful, brilliant, diverse folks coming together to inspire and be inspired; to connect and learn from one another; and perhaps most importantly, to feel at home together."

With a focus of interactive and inspiring programming, Women in Music Canada’s Summit made launched as a one day event in 2023, in-person, moving to 2 days for 2024 and 2025. All three years have achieved full capacity sell out audiences. 2026’s edition of the summit increases to 3 days to further amplify the speakers, workshops and networking opportunities for its participants.

Summit Highlights:
Panels & Keynotes: Featuring leading voices on topics such as leadership, touring, festival culture, financial management, and strategies for thriving as a creator in the digital era.

Workshops & Mentorship: Hands-on learning and direct mentorship opportunities with global industry leaders.

Networking & Community Building: Creating space for women and gender-diverse professionals to connect, collaborate, and inspire future generations.

Songwriting Round: An intimate showcase highlighting creativity across genres.

Virtual Access: For those unable to attend in person, the event will also be streamed via Zuddl, ensuring global participation.

The Global Summit is made possible by the generous support of the Government of Canada, the Foundation to Assist Canadian Talent on Recordings (FACTOR), and Ontario Creates. We are also excited to have partners TD Bank, SOCAN, TuneCore and Believe on board, with more partners to be announced.
