TD Halifax Jazz Festival

The TD Halifax Jazz Festival (HJF) shines a spotlight on homegrown talent with the announcement of special guest openers for three of our TD Main Stage shows, and two new performances added to its Carleton series.
Festival goers can look forward to a packed week of music on the Halifax Waterfront and across the city, with local artists joining some of the biggest names in music. These pairings bring together the global and the local in a way that only the TD Halifax Jazz Festival can.
Newly announced:
- Aquakultre will open for Adam Baldwin and the Jenny Wren on our TD Main Stage FREE Night, July 16
- JupiterReign and Kxng Wooz will open for Big Boi, July 19
- Leanne Hoffman will open for St. Vincent, July 20
- Doris Mason and the Bash Bros and the Carl Mayotte Quintet will perform July 18 at The Carleton
“We’re incredibly lucky to have this level of talent in our own backyard,” says Tenille Goodspeed, Executive Director of the Halifax Jazz Festival. “Pairing local artists with global icons is a reflection of what this festival is all about—celebrating community, showcasing excellence, and creating opportunities for our homegrown talent to take center stage.”
These local acts bring a unique vibe and undeniable energy to our Main Stage lineup, each offering a sound that perfectly complements the acclaimed headliners they will open for.
