Small Town Bad

Small Town Bad

Following their patriotic summer anthem "True North", Canadian backroad rockers Small Town Bad are back again, bringing their northern outlaw style to Canada with their newest song, "Dead Horse Creek".

Written about the fictional lives led along the titular off-shoot of Ontario's Jackfish River, the song tells the tale of the townsfolk of Dead Horse Creek; A young woman escaping tragedy, the pursuing body of law seeking justice, grave diggin’ preachers, bootleggers and all sorts of seedy characters making up this new cast from Small Town Bad.

Set to release on October 24, "Dead Horse Creek" was made for the Canadian country outlaw - plain and simple. With acoustic guitar like a slow burning bed of coals, twangin' slide guitar to chase the horizon and a head-bobbing rhythm that would keep ol' flat top groovin’ up slowly, Small Town Bad combines the classic western outlaw with southern tumbleweed swagger to bring a new style to the Canadian soundscape.

Recorded at Blueprints Audio in Thunder Bay, Ontario, check out the accompanying 'live off the floor' video mixed and mastered by Jean-Paul De Roover & MacKenzie on YouTube released same-day.
