SING! Music Business Summit
The SING! Music Business Summit returns this spring as part of the 15th annual SING! Toronto International Vocal Arts Festival, offering Canadian musicians and industry professionals free virtual access to a slate of expert-led seminars from May 19 to June 1, 2026.
Hosted online at no cost to attendees, the Summit covers a wide span of practical concerns for working artists — social media, financial management, booking strategy, fringe festival circuits, AI and the music business, radio song placement, music rights and the law, personal branding, and tech talk. Each seminar is led by an industry specialist and includes audience Q&A.
Complementing the virtual programming, the festival is staging in-person Music Industry Roundtables on Saturday, May 23. Attendees sign up for fifteen-minute small-group sessions with experts in marketing, media, publicity, royalty collection, and bookings — a condensed format the festival positions as high-value mentorship for emerging and established artists alike.
The Summit sits within a broader festival of more than 20 events across Toronto venues including the Royal Ontario Museum, Koerner Hall at the TELUS Centre for Performance & Learning, The Rec Room, Paradise Theatre, and The Great Hall. Festival headliners include Pitch Perfect music director Deke Sharon, Swedish a cappella ensemble The Real Group, and the 16 finalist groups competing in the second annual SING! Canadian A Cappella Championships.
The 2026 Music Business Summit is sponsored by Canadian Music Spotlight and Long & McQuade Musical Instruments. The wider festival is supported by TD Bank, Ontario Creates, the Government of Canada, Slaight Music, the Toronto Arts Council, and additional partners.
Founded in 2012 by seven volunteers, SING! has grown into one of Ontario's Top 100 Festivals and Events and seeded partner festivals in Edinburgh, Mexico, Texas, Edmonton, and Vancouver. Co-founders Patricia Silver and Patti Jannetta have been inducted into the Festival and Events Ontario Hall of Fame.
