His latest offering, Versions 'N' Not 8—his eighth album—is set to release on September 9, 2025, and will be available on all major streaming platforms. This project is described as the culmination of his artistic journey, featuring a "garagey rock production."

Notably, Deschenes is the sole musician on the entire album, showcasing his deep musical independence and vision. The album blends revisited tracks from his extensive catalog with new compositions, each refined to what Deschenes considers their ultimate form. The title itself alludes to the meticulous process of crafting multiple versions of each song to achieve the most impactful result.
