Genre-blending Canadian singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Jessica Sevier returns with her relatable new single “Panic Years,” out November 21 on all streaming platforms via The Orchard. The track captures the messy, confusing, and often overwhelming experience of growing up, “Panic Years” pairs Sevier’s honest, journal-like lyricism with a hopeful, uplifting sonic backdrop – offering both comfort and validation to listeners navigating their own coming-of-age journeys.

Co-written with acclaimed singer-songwriters Dylan Guthro and Robyn Ottolini, the track acknowledges the pressure of “figuring it all out” while reassuring fans they’re not alone. It’s the kind of song you turn to when everything feels too heavy – and leave feeling seen, understood, and just a little more at peace.

“Growing up is damn scary, and it’s hard to please everyone, especially yourself,” says Jessica. “Going through your 20s, you’re just learning how to be an adult, and no one has a map on how to navigate it. The years between 20 and 30 are often called the ‘Panic Years,’ and I really relate to that. While we were writing this song, we were all able to add pieces of our lives into it – things that we ourselves were and still are panicked about. I think the bridge completely summarizes what my experience in my 20s has been so far.”

She continues, quoting the bridge:

“I know I’ll find myself but I don’t know when / I hope my hobbies that turned to chores become hobbies again / One day my parents are going to look a lot more like friends / I won’t call them at the slightest inconvenience.”

“Panic Years” follows Sevier’s fan-favourite single “Good To Drive,” which she also co-wrote with Ottolini, along with JUNO Award-winning producer Derek Hoffman. The song quickly resonated with listeners, rocketing to over 350K streams to date and building strong momentum ahead of Sevier’s forthcoming debut EP. The track also earned her major recognition as the iHeartRadio Future Star for September and October across all Pure Country radio stations, as well as Hot Country 103.5 Halifax’s Artist of the Month for September.

This fall, Sevier is keeping busy on stage, opening for CCMA award-winning artist Robyn Ottolini on two Ontario dates and performing a month-long residency at Toronto’s legendary Cameron House throughout November showcasing her raw, genre-blending sound and powerhouse vocals to the venue’s devoted and artist focused crowd.

Blending country, roots, and Americana influences with rock energy and R&B touches, Jessica Sevier has built a loyal fanbase through her honest songwriting and dynamic live performances. Since releasing her debut single “Ghost of Tom” in 2019, she has amassed millions of streams and shared stages with some of the country’s biggest acts, including Dean Brody, The Jack Wharff Band, Tenille Townes and Tyler Joe Miller. She’s a recent signing to Paquin Artists Agency for live representation and continues to carve out her space as one of Canada’s most exciting young voices.
