JENNA Nation
The new single and video from Canadian R&B/Pop singer/songwriter JENNA Nation is “All I Need,” which is a song about being in love and enjoying all of the feelings that go along with it, and pays tribute to some of her favourite R&B infuences, like SWV, Janet Jackson and Usher. JENNA Nation is quickly gaining momentum on the international music scene. Born in Ottawa, Canada to a musical family, JENNA was introduced to various styles of music including Classical, Jazz, Soul, and R&B.
She began her career with extensive training and success with classical music/opera, musical theatre and jazz and released two jazz albums as a teenager, while performing at various international music festivals. Her professional career began at the age of 9 singing on Parliament Hill for the Canada Day Celebrations and shortly after for the Prime Minister of Canada. This was JENNA’s frst taste of performing for a large crowd of over 10,000 people and from that day she knew that this was what she was meant to do. JENNA has received numerous awards and scholarships including from the highly respected Berklee College of Music in Boston where she attained her Vocal Performance Degree.
After graduating from Berklee, she was invited to write and record her frst original album at Music World Entertainment (Matthew Knowles’ music label and recording studio) in Houston, Texas, which opened the door to other opportunities where she went on to work with Grammy winning producers and songwriters from all over the world including in LA, Nashville, Toronto, Denmark and NYC with the likes of Tommy Brown, Boi-1da, Roger Ryan, Kinetics and One Love, The Elev3n, Young Wolf Hatchlings and Victoria Monet. JENNA's album You Don’t Know received numerous accolades including being named Canada's Best R&B Album of 2017, #9 overall (Music Canada Magazine), and one of the 10 Best Records of the Year (Village Voice Magazine). Over the course of her career JENNA has opened for artists such as Shawn Mendes, Chromeo. Lauv and Snarky Puppy. “All I Need” is produced by Grammy and Juno-award winning producer Roger Ryan, and written by songwriters JENNA Nation and SenZe.
